This has been the warmest day so
far this year at 91 degrees. Next year we plan
to be in Tucson this time of year where the temperatures
are 80-90+ degrees beginning in April so today was a
good day to know what next year will feel like. This was
mostly a rest day. We had errands to run in Roseburg
but other than that, only rest.

For some reason I have caught
flu like symptoms. However, I was still
able to get two major projects completed.
I have returned the original 80 mm stem to
my road bike. I'm thinking the 100 mm stem may
be irritating my back. This puts me in a more upright
position but hopefully reduces or eliminates my back
pain. The second project was to remove the wheels off
the trailer and paint them a gloss black. With that done
I can't think of anything else the trailer needs. Now I'm
focusing on getting rid of these flu symptoms.

I registered the utility trailer today
with the Oregon DMV so the trailer now
has an Oregon license plate. However, the
real lesson today is the false sense of
security when locking up our property.

I took a ride in the afternoon
then went to the monthly Umpqua
Velo meeting. I ended up volunteering
to lead a Wednesday night ride in
a few weeks. Here I had to show
off
my K9Crack membership badge. The
club always sponsors a Wednesday
night ride and the ride I will lead leaves
from Sutherlin.

I spent most of the morning beginning
a new month on the Webpage which
takes some time. The day began with
fog slowly clearing so by the time I was done
with the Webpage I could do a few touch up
things on the trailer. Ted, one of my neighbors,
said I needed to seal the corners with caulk. That's
how a spent most of the rest of the day. Then, after a short
rest,
I did some touch up painting.
