The last part of the afternoon I took Gwen's bike apart to lubricate and clean. I quickly found I needed a tool I didn't have. I ordered the tool and will finish Gwen's bike once it arrives. _____________________________________ Sunday, August 29, 2021 This was an inactive day. Gwen and I took ourselves to breakfast. We tried a restaurant in Oakland, but Oakland was closed. We returned to a local favorite here in Sutherlin. I worked on a new accessory for the bicycle after breakfast. Then I finished the post from yesterday. That took a while so once complete I prepped some vegetables for dinner. I worked some in the new planter area then began the barbeque for dinner hamburgers. _____________________________________ Friday, August 27, 2021 This was a writing day. Last year, my daughter gave me something called StoryWorth. It is a program where the user answers questions about their life by writing short stories of events and feelings. At the end of one year StoryWorth will combine all these stories into a book which is sent to the person who purchased the StoryWorth gift. Well, it has been a year so I have been trying to catch up with my writing so the book can be printed and sent to my daughter. _____________________________________ Sunday, August 22, 2021 The day began with Abby and I watching Dog TV for a bit. A Zwift ride came next for an hour. After breakfast, I took Abby to Tractor Supply to use their dog bath. On the way home, I bought a Papa Murphy pizza to fix for dinner. I tried baking it in the barbeque since our convection oven works poorly. The pizza came out etable. _____________________________________ Thursday, August 19, 2021 The day began early with a Zwift ride for an hour. Breakfast came next. The rest of the day was spent in the shop, cleaning and organizing. It's better now after several golf cart trips to the garbage bin. Sweeping and using the shop vac helped too. Along with cleaning, I was looking for a missing cordless drill battery. I found it behind the shop table, made sure it was fully charged and put it away. _____________________________________ Monday, August 16, 2021 We made a four hour drive from Brookings to Sutherlin. I was watching the fuel gage because coast fuel is more expensive. We were at a quarter of the tank, I figured 25 gallons but it was more. When I filled up when nearly back to Sutherlin, it only took 67 gallons in a 100 gallon tank. _____________________________________ Sunday, August 8, 2021 I tried to relax today but began the day with a hour+ Zwift ride after morning coffee. Breakfast after the ride then some adjustments to both bicycles to be sure the rear derailleurs were working properly. I've scheduled another Zwift ride for early tomorrow morning. It is my turn to cook so I baked a Mexican dish in the barbeque, our motorhome convection oven does not work well.
