I did some grocery shopping
on this windy day. Once that was done,
I did some baking. We will be attending
a "Summer Buddies" pool party tomorrow
afternoon so I baked brownies to share.
They seem to have come out tasty
so I will cut them into small squares tomorrow
and deliver in a bowl. The wind reached 26 mph
today making that the topic of many conversations.

My morning began with the last resort
Wednesday morning meeting. Wednesdays will
be taken over by a group called "The Summer Buddies".
That is a group which stays at the resort year around enduring
the summer's three digit temperatures. Nearly all of the
winter snowbirds will be leaving within a week. The Activity
Office closes on Monday so the resort calls Monday the
end of the season. We learned this morning who will be
the new Activity Director next season and the new
theme for next season. Most of these snowbirds have
a summer home to go to in Wisconsin, Idaho, Minnesota,
Vermont, South Dakota or Canada. We don't! When we
return to Oregon we are returning to a 41 foot diesel pusher
with four slides. It feels pretty small now that we have
spent six months in our park model. Wednesday is
Sushi day at the local market so after the meeting,
Gwen and I drove looking for Sushi. We also stopped
at Home Depot for a few items. Gwen spent the afternoon
in the ceramics shop while I arranged items in storage
and made a rug bracket to hang a rug in our bedroom.
