This day began early. I took a neighbor to the
Phoenix airport shuttle. She will be flying from
Phoenix direct to Heathrow Airport in London. It was
interesting to me that her plane leaves Phoenix at 4 pm
then arrives in London at 11 am tomorrow morning. She will be flying over Hudson Bay then the southern tip of Greenland to reach London.
The rest of my day was with an annual medical checkup. The big event today was the first day I measured 100 degree temperatures. The forecast calls for the 100s the rest of this week and next.

My morning began with the morning
park meeting where I presented a recap of the
bakery tour and introduced a breakfast trip on
June 6 to First Watch. Gwen had some shopping
to do, so I tagged along just to check out the thrift
store she was visiting. The day ended with some
scattered dry lighting.

The bakery tour I am leading will happen
a week from yesterday. I made a dry run today
to be sure I knew both bakeries. Our second
bakery has a large seating area and a breakfast
menu so that may be a good location for a breakfast.

Other than using the leaf blower to clear the debris
from yesterday's windstorm, taking Abby for a run
while taking the garbage to the dumpsters and making
sure our birds had water in the birdbath, this has been
another rest day.

Gwen and I went to Banner Urgent Care today
after trying to visit the two medical groups who
have come to the park asking for new patients. Neither
one could take us. One because they are short on staff
and the other found they were not in our insurance network.
It was easy to make an online appointment for Banner
Urgent Care. We both have Bronchitis so we both have
the same medication.

This is our view while we wait for
Costco to fill our prescriptions.
