I rode 30 miles today with two
friends. We drove to the beginning of the
Marana Spur off of The Loop. None of us had
ridden this route. It was out and back with
a good tailwind out but headwind back.

to tomorrow starting point, I binge watched
American Primeval on Netflix

Tuesday: January 14, 2025
This was vaccine day for me. I had been
putting it off but finally made an appointment
at Costco Pharmacy for the flu and Covid 19 Booster.
So far no reaction except a slightly sore arm. I
would like to have had my hearing aids cleaned
but the store was far too busy.

Monday: January 13, 2025
Another blow out for the final NFL
playoff game. The Vikings could not
get their game together so the LA Rams
move one.
Our Monday RCE Bicycle Club ride was cold
to begin with. That kept some members home.
Our group was smaller but we still had a good ride.

Sunday: January 12, 2025
Three NFL playoff games today. The first
two were no contest. The Bills and Eagles
move on easily. The third playoff was a
real contest with the score tied to the last
three seconds of the game. The Washington
Commanders won the game with a last second
field goal. I have mixed feelings because I like
Daniels and Mariotta but also like Baker Mayfield.

Saturday: January 11, 2025
I should have done a Zwift ride but
instead I watched the two NFL wildcard
playoff games. The Texans and Ravens
move on to the next round. Neither game
was very close.

Friday: January 10, 2025
I took the day to do some maintenance on
the trailer. Covered the wheels, mounted a
shower caddy, inspected the water pump and found
a connection which needs to be adjusted, looked
for the instruction manual to the tongue jack and
found none. Watching the Texas/Ohio State game
soon. Watch Notre Dame squeeze out a win over
Penn State last night. I remembered Oregon Ducks
beat all these teams in regular season play but was
eliminated in their first game of the play offs.

This has been our first taste of winter
weather. Very cold and windy today. I
worked most of the day planning the
trip back to Oregon. We usually drive straight
back but this year we will take a month to
return and visit several campgrounds along
the way. I ended the day with our monthly
photo club meeting here at RCE.

Monday: January 6, 2025
I watched the FCS football championship
game between unbeaten Montana State and
North Dakota State. This was a far better game
than many of the current bowl games including
the awful Rose Bowl where Ohio State obliterated
the Oregon Ducks. In this case both team were very impressive
along with both quarterbacks. North Dakota is squeak by
Montana for a win.

Wednesday: January 1, 2025
Watched Boise State lose last night.
Watched Arizona State lose today.
Then watched Oregon get whipped by
Ohio State today. Ohio State was out
for revenge and certainly showed Oregon
they did NOT deserve the number 1 seed.
Those were the three teams we hoped would
make it to the next level.
