I took myself on a Monday ride
alone. North on the Loop to the
street with the name, "Stone". Total
distance was 32 miles. It was a warm
day so I should have started earlier.

Gwen and I drove to the Amazon Bin Store to
check out the first day of the sale of new items.
Thursday they are closed for "Cleaning" with new
items displayed on Friday. Everything on Friday is
$15. All the same merchandise is $1 on Wednesday,
the day I visited. I saw very little different from what I
saw on Wednesday. The tables looked the same, picked
over. I was expecting valuable merchandise where $15
would be a bargain. From what I could tell, it was all the
same stuff I saw on Wednesday with the exception of
many boxes of TV mounts and many boxes of a
one horse power submersible water pump. This was Gwen's
first visit. She found a few items she might like to have
for $1 but nothing for $15. From what I could tell, they
had done little cleaning on Thursday. I assume every
week is different with different merchandise but not
sure we are interested enough to visit again.

I became an electrician today. We made it
to 100 degrees today, 47 days earlier than last
year. That's the way this season has gone. We had
a little bit of winter only the month of January
this season.

This was a day to organize my storage and get
most everything off the carport. The new storage
cabinet is working well. The under deck storage
has helped. It is warming up early this year unlike
last year which drains energy to complete projects.

painting Gwen's craft room, and finally assembling
a small storage shed for the carport.

Our plan was to visit Tempe, Arizona
for a couple days then take a tour of the
Honeywell Aerospace facility with our friend
who used to be our neighbor, Kelly. I moved the trailer
to be in front of our house so we could get it ready to travel
tomorrow. Then .... we began to consider our plans. The
forecast for the rest of this week is getting warmer with
Friday
as the warmest day, 99 degrees. But forecast to be 101 degrees
in Tempe. Our little trailer has an air conditioner however,
like
many RV air conditioners, makes a lot of noise and vibration.
It is not comfortable to be inside the trailer with the air
conditioner running. If we had no choice, of course we would
put up with the noise and vibration. But we do have a choice.
We have cancelled our traveling plans and choose to stay
home where we know we can be comfortable. I
put the trailer back into storage. Tomorrow morning
is the last Wednesday morning Coffee and Donuts for the
season. I have not been going but since it is the last, I
will go tomorrow.
