December 17, 2010: Sunny this morning but solid clouds this afternoon. We still got 95% battery charge before the sun left us. I took some photos of our camping location in the desert rain. It's unusual to get rain so it's a "real event" when camped in the desert.

December 15, 2010: We left early this morning for a quick shopping trip to Phoenix, about 130 miles to the east of us but at 75 mph (the Arizona speed limit on the Interstates), it did not seem to take long. We rode with Ralph and Janet who also had multiple reasons to visit the big city. I took photos along our trip to the "big city" and will share them tomorrow.

December 14, 2010: Today was utility day. We have been in Bouse one month and decided to dump our black water holding tank even though it STILL was not full. We plan to leave Bouse in another month so today was a good day to dump the black water tank. We connected and drove off the desert two miles back to the Bouse Community Park where we could dump the tank for $10. A refill of fresh water is free with the dump fee so we filled our fresh water tank too. We will leave in a month, dumping the tank again. That means we will stay on the desert two months and have to move only once to dump the black water tank. We do have to disconnect everything (satellite wires, weather station wires, wheel blocks, stabilizer jacks, etc.) so the round trip and re-setup took all morning. We were STILL able to get a full battery charge from our solar system even after using 104 ampHours yesterday.
