August 12, 2005: For ten years I have been using this gadget. I use them for hiking, backpacking and sometime cross-country skiing. I always take these with me for extra stability and endurance.

August 11, 2005: We are into a cooling trend. It's nice having the cooler nights. Morgan and I rode in search of lava from Brown Mountain. BM is only 12 miles from our resort home and is surrounded by large larva flows. It was a warm weekend day when we completed this ride.

August 9, 2005: One of the projects I completed this last weekend was to scrub the rubber roof for the second time this year. This time I photographed the process to share how I do it.

August 8, 2005: Another busy weekend, mostly doing maintenance work on the RV. I'll report about this later this week. I've noticed a problem with my Taylor minimum-maximum thermometer .. don't buy one if you care about accuracy. It has been replaced by something electronic.
