July 30, 2010: The best made plans must change. If you've been following, we visited the emergency room of an Albuquerque hospital last May. It was a costly lesson, you don't want to get caught up in "medical protocols"! As it turned out nothing was wrong with Gwen that a $90 visit to a chiropractor couldn't fix. But medical tests and room charges have added up to thousands. We've been given an opportunity to "get back to zero" by becoming campground hosts in several
northern California campgrounds for three months. So we have packed and are ready to move early in the morning to travel 1200 miles to California. The Internet dish will come down soon and will likely not go up again until next Tuesday so I've filled in the next few days with "traveling". So much for retirement. |

July 29, 2010: I was able to ride with the SOBs today to a small town, Villanueva. It was a great day for a ride with new friends.

July 28, 2010: Rain, rain and more rain. But it's keep the temperature cool. I did my usual bicycle ride this morning and returned just before the cloud burst. So this was a day surfing the Internet and napping. Well, I was napping. Tomorrow is a longer ride with the Seniors on Bikes so the ride today should have been easy but my legs don't feel easy. Check the weather data for the latest rain data.

July 26, 2010: Sorry, it's late and I'm just too tired to update anything except the weather data. It's been raining for two days but did a bike ride in the rain with rain gear. I stayed warm and dry. We also took a drive into the Santa Fe National Forest along the Pecos River. The River was running well due to all the rain the last few days. We were exploring a new area for camping after we leave Hyde Memorial State Park.
