July 10, 2005: As you've learned before, I often see strange things coming down the mountain during my commute. I put a report of those on my "treats" page. Do you know what is meant by "Open Range". Perhaps not if you don't live in the west. Scroll to the bottom of the treats page to see what I mean.

July 8, 2005: Today's What's New you will enjoy. I used to sail on Lake Tahoe. I lived there for 13 years and owned a sailboat most of the time. This is the story of how we put Jack and Carole's boat into the water at the resort.

July 7, 2005: This morning I was greeted with an overcast sky. I drove above the overcast at the 5,000 foot level during my commute to work in Medford. Then back under the overcast into the valley. Perhaps this will keep the day cool for a while. Uncle Norman and Jeanette came to visit during the Independence Day weekend. You will meet them in today's What's New. Just scroll to the bottom of the visitor page.

July 6, 2005: I know these high temperatures may not look impressive. However, since we are at nearly 5,000 feet, 73° in the sun feels like 90° and will burn quickly. The shade feels considerably cooler. Remember, these temperatures are measured in the shade. Click on "degrees Fehrenheit" to see the details. Another Independence Day event is recorded in today's What's New.

July 5, 2005: We had some special visitors on Friday and Saturday of the Independence Day weekend. It was not only special to see them but they brought Gwen and I a 22 foot sailboat to use for a couple of months. Scroll to the bottom of the visitor's page.
