December 11, 2009: Up and out early to the Bouse Christmas Bazaar. The girls found things they liked right off and made their purchases. I, on the otherhand, headed straight to the 50¢ coffee pot and $1 apple pie for breakfast. Then off to the post office to ship a package. I started a new novel, The Other Boleyn Girl. A novel about the women in Henry VIII's life. It's a break from the Louis L'Amour novels I've been reading. Finally, to bring the afternoon to a perfect ending, we walked to a neighbor for a dog birthday party. I took dog treats to share. The host had baked homemade peanut butter treats.

December 10, 2009: Gwen visited Quartzsite today with her friend Kathy for a free craft lesson. I installed new bicycle tires on my mountain bike and road into the desert. We are both looking forward to the Christmas bazaar tomorrow in the tiny town of Bouse, Arizona.

December 9, 2009: A cool night but comfortable day. I spent the entire day online correcting final exams and then recording course grades for my college students who completed the online course I'm teaching for Rogue Community College. At the end of the day, since this is taco day at the Ocotillo Lodge, we went to taco dinner.

December 7, 2009: Solid clouds and rain make this community breakfast day not only cold and wet but without much power for us since we overused our power last night. I'll add to the description of the desert bar tomorrow when I have more power.
