December 11, 2005: For a first day of a long vacation, this was a good start. Good park, view of a steam locomotive and IMAX movie. The weather report is from Roamer's Rest RV Park in Tualatin, Oregon.

December 10, 2005: Today was a traveling day. We traveled 256 miles today arriving in Tualatin, Oregon at about 5 pm. During our travels, we stopped to check out the Escapee park in Sutherlin, Oregon. The temperatures to the right were taken during our travels.

December 9, 2005: Have you ever hear big band director and trumpet player Stan Mark perform? Today was a special day at work with a private performance by Stan and the community college jazz band.

December 8, 2005: Do you know what an SKP is? It is kind-a slang for Escapee. Gwen and I have finally decided to join the Escappees RV Club. We've heard great things about the club and want to find out for ourselves. It is an RV club especially for full-time or serious RV travelers. Today's What's New is a direct link to their Website.

December 7, 2005: Our coast trip will likely take us into lots of rain. I think I've found a solution to the snare-drum effect on the skylight near our bed.

December 6, 2005: Do you know of the Columbia River that separates the state of Washington from Oregon? During WWII, Fort Stevens guarded the Columbia River from invasion.
