October 18, 2009: This was a warm day in the morning but turning to cloudy, windy and cold in the afternoon. We visited my son Ben in Reno to watch some football, especially the Bears and Falcons since Kim, Ben's wife is from Chicago. Unfortunately, the Bears made too many mistakes to win the game.

October 17, 2009: Alpine Meadow campground is closing on Monday so we searched for alternatives today. We also found Truckee lacking in dump stations, especially for this time of year. Otherwise, this was a day of rest.
