September 29, 2005: Gwen had some surprise visitors yesterday while I was at work. Diane and Rudy, friends from Grants Pass came to visit and fish. Unfortunately, they didn't catch any fish.

September 28, 2005: Today I'm reporting on an event which happen at noon yesterday. The governor of the state of Oregon visited my work location. I've never been this close to our governor. It was good to have him visit and bring money to our town.

September 27, 2005: I love leaving early for work and taking my time. Today I stopped to investigate what people were gathering earlier in the week. Have you ever seen a Blue Elderberry tree? Do you know the many uses of the Elderberry fruit and twigs? Do you know the dangers of the Elderberry?

I photographed some fall colors on my commute today. This is a special bush which I learned about 15 years ago when I purchased a 38 acre tree farm in southern Oregon. Some of you may also know this bush and it's special properties.
