Robinson Lake Park
Robinson Lake Park a Latah County Park, in Moscow, ID has a few RV spaces for only $10/night and they honor the Senior Pass. All the spaces were full the night we camped so we parked in an overflow area and paid only half the tent fee ($2.50). There is a 14 day limit but each site has electrical hookups. There is water in the park, no dump station. This is out of town to the east of Moscow. Click here to get a map to Robinson Lake Park.

Stanley, Idaho location
About sixteen miles west of Stanley Idaho on SR 21 is this boondock area. There are many potential sites in this area. Turn north at the Swamp Creek Trail sign which is hidden in the bushes so difficult to see. It is at about the 115.5 mile marker. You will spot potential sites
as soon as you leave highway 21. I like the sites next to the small creek at GPS: 44 21.378N, -115 08.514W There are handmade fire rings located throughout the area. There are many choice locations in the open for solar and satellite campers and many in the shade for others. The nearest hand pumped water and garbage is located at the Trap Creek Campground near mile marker 119. Stanley, Idaho is only about 16 miles away on a 65 MPH road so it won't take long to visit this tiny town if you need services.
South of Stanley on Highway75
Another location just south of Stanley, Idaho is near the Redfish Lake Resort. This is a National Forest Service location limited to 10 days. Access is from a gravel road on the east side of Highway 75 (mile marker 185.3) about 1/4 mile south of the entrance to Redfish Lake. There are no signs to identify this location and you won't see the forest service sign until you turn onto the gravel road. There are three usable locations all on the Salmon River although the river is down a 50 foot high steep slope. The closest water and other services are at the Redfish camping areas about three miles from this location. There is no cell reception here. GPS: 44 10.113N, -114 53.804W Click the above photo to enlarge.

Cottonwood Campground on the Salmon River
The Cottonwood Recreation site has got to be one of Idaho's biggest secrets. It is located on the Salmon River with 13 paved sites, half directly on the river. The sites are set very wide apart from each other with lots of mowed lawn which makes the park even more comfortable. Cottonwood Recreation Site is located on Highway 93 about 14 miles north of Challis. The fee is only $10 but half that with a senior pass. Water, garbage, vault toilets and a dump station are located at this park. Click the above photo to enlarge. GPS: 44 40.165N, -114 04.654W There are a few spots which are excellent for solar and satellite.
