Cleaning an RV Heater Vent

Click to see What's New at RVeCafe
November 10, 2006: Our RV heater vents seem uncleanable. I've decided to remove them, soak and clean but I'm not sure what's I'll find when I remove the screws.

Once the two screws are removed, the vent is pulled from the floor to reveal heater conduit attached to the vent with a ring clamp.

While the vent is soaking, I vacuum all the debris from the heater conduit. I was able to remove dust, and larger chunks of dirt and paper which had fallen into this floor vent.

Dish soap and a dish rag on the tip of a dinner knife worked to reach the corners of the vent.

I was able to clean the linolium under the vent as well as the vent itself. Now everthing looks brand new.
