April 10, 2011: We moved
to Louisiana today. We are
impressed with all the green
in east Texas and Louisiana.
We have been told this area gets
5 inches of rain per month, year
around although we haven't seen
rain in months. Our driving day
began in an overcast sky but
ended with a clear sky.

April 9, 2011: This was a utility day to prepare for tomorrows move to Louisiana. Both Ralph and I made some repairs after finding what we needed in the town of Livingston. We enjoyed breakfast in the park clubhouse.

April 8, 2011: This was moving day east to Livingston, Texas, the national home of the Escapees RV Club. We were expecting the Livingston High School band to welcome us since we are from Oregon, our first visit and life members. Apparently the band was busy with high school activities, we only got the usual SKP hug.

April 7, 2011: Another slow day for me trying to defeat the symptoms of a Texas cold. We had visitors. Larry and Sylivia live in Spring, Texas. Sylvia is one of the members of the same online Crafter's forum. It's a very active group with lot's of fun, crafty ladies. Gwen has written a report and has photos for you to see.

April 6, 2011: This was a slow day for me since I'm suffering from head cold symptoms. I did my best to take it easy today but plan for future adventure. Gwen drove to the nearest Walmart for some decongestant pills and a few beading supplies she needed.

April 5, 2011: We found a Texas
secret (at least a secret to us). It's
a little town called "Old Town Spring".
We spent all out time in one
shop, guess we'll have to come
back again next year.
